Faces: girl in a mob cap

I would have called this a scullery cap, but when I googled that, almost everything that came up was more bonnet-like. Somehow I stumbled on "mob cap" and I got a screen full. I like her wide-eyed look.

This little girl's hat reminds me of that American soap opera we loved so much here in France, "La petite maison dans la prairie." The cap is so scotish!
