I guess you'd need a horse before you could properly classify this as transportation.

Explanatory text from earlier posts:
A doctor in Hickory NC has been saving and restoring old cabins, barns and other buildings for 40 years. He eponymously calls his project "Hart Square." On the last Saturday of October, he opens his village to the public. I was lucky enough to secure tickets this year, and spent the day exploring and photographing. On this day, he invites history buffs and craftsmen to demonstrate their skills.

VERY INTERESTING. This must be for local travel (only around the neighborhood) since there is no covering and little room for luggae. In that case, it seems like riding horseback would be easier. I have to laugh at the little chunks of brick to keep this thing from rolling away.

This buggy looks to be in excellent shape. Most of it is dusty, but the seats appear to have been covered. It probably is gaining in value year by year.
