Thorpe Ford Bridge

This is one of the bridges not open to vehicle traffic. The guard rail on the right edge of the image actually leads to a modern concrete bridge parallel to this one. The image looked fine in color, but I thought the swirling cloud patterns would stand out better in monochrome.

I like this picture for its subject and the choice of a monochrome. The cloud cover is very well captured and covered bridges are always good subject (to me). :-)
