Rusting boiler

I explored a collapsing textile mill in Alamance County NC with a small group. There was no roof any of us was willing to stand under, but there were a few interesting industrial elements.

@Philnz: Well, it's a bit off the road. and it probably weighs a couple of tons, so you'd have to rent a crane. What's scrap iron going for these days?

The wonderful thing about finding these old relics is that they offer us a hands on experience with the past; we are able to interact with them on more than one level ... indeed, we are able to see it, smell it, touch it, etc.
