Spools of thread

I returned to a mill that I had visited earlier with a couple of friends who missed the first trip. I managed to find a few interesting shots that I missed the first time. After we were there about an hour two policemen showed up; they weer actually pretty nice about throwing us out, but they ran our driver's licenses, so we probably need to be more cautious, at least in Randolph County.

Those as BIG spools. My grandma always used to throw old spools in the toy box for us children to play with, but she never had one this size.

I am glad you got this spool shot before given the outside door. It was an interesting place in its working days.

Whoa!! Those would last a lifetime!! I love the sense of symmetry here and the fact that every other spool is "empty".
