These ducks are swimming to keep their feet warm. The air was about 18 degrees F (which I think is minus 8 or 9 C). My feet and hands were in pain.

I never thought of duck feet in the winter.

Nice capture of these mallard couples, accompanied by great reflections!! I am surprised the water was not frozen. Was it a temporary plunge in temps?
