Yesterday's lily

These are called day lilies because they start degrading after a day. My wife "dead heads" the blooms every day or two. I got this cluster of aging blooms probably just a while before pruned them. (I had a dark piece of posterboard behind them for the background, but it is natural open shade lighting them).

Yesterday's Lily has it own beauty. I like the warped, almost poetic look of the image.

I like the way it retains some of its former beauty as it fades.

Très beau, avec ce fond noir les formes complexes et colorées se détachent bien.
