Surprise lilies

Posted by
Harry (Apex, NC, United States) on 12 July 2018 in Plant & Nature and Portfolio.

My grandmother called these surprise lilies because they seemed to pop up after every rain. My wife has been growing them from my grandmothers bulbs for over 30 years, and sharing them with friends and relatives who have any gardening interest.

Isn't it wonderful to keep the lineage of a plant alive - by passing it through your own lineage?! These are so pretty!!
