We traveled to a small collection of abandoned commercial buildings near the Virginia / North Carolina border. The fronts were all padlocked or nailed shut, but many of the backs and sides were wide open. "Come in and explore," this calls to me.

Processing note: I have always sized my photos to about 900 by 600 pixels because when I started with Aminus3, this seemed to work best. Recently, Aminus3 has been recommending a 2400 pixel width. Starting today, I am sizing to approximately 1200 x 1800 pixels (appropriate for a 4x6 paper photo). Let me know if you see any positive or negative impact.

It is always sad an abandoned house and yet this one has preserved pretty bricks on the front

a wonderful image..The pathos of a discarded home is obvious !! As for the size. I resize mine at 880..since it gets uploaded quickly. Let me try your ratio ... 1200 x 1800.This image looks great !

Looks good to me. The only trouble with portrait framing on aminus is that unless the image is very small you have to scroll to view it all. Sometimes that can be a good thing though not often I think

Superb composition and tones . Since aminus has recommended higher pixels I present them in 1280x800 now .

Something is sad about old buildings, they have a story to tell. I appreciate the information about sizing.

I wonder if some critter lived under the house. It looks like a food bowl by the opening.
