Little house on Route 22

We passed this little abandoned house. The shelving on the front porch makes me wonder whether this was ever a shop, though there is no signage and the inside was stripped bare.

It astounds me, visiting your blog, that there seems so many places of character abandoned to rot while large numbers of people live in trailer parks. Nicely captured

21 Mar 2019 10:53am

@grouser: most of these places are left over sustenance farmers' homes. Fewer people farm ( and the fewer grow more food). A farmer needs to live on/near his land. An employee (of any kind) wants to live near school, shopping and work. Most of these places lack basic amenities: central heat, air conditioning, modern wiring and plumbing. Oh yes, and cell reception.

Ah a tiny house, I've been looking for it for a while now I've found it. Too bad it has been neglected a bit.

Might have been a shop, or just someone selling honey or preserves from their porch. Nice find.

A fine picture of this place whose history remains unknown. I like the detail of this picture.

It is amazing that it was once home to somebody. It is so small but was probably efficient. A great image of this old abandoned house.
