With bright light steaming in, and deep shadows where the light failed to reach, the interior of this powerhouse required multiple exposures to capture the full dynamic range. This image is a merge of three "clicks:" as metered, two stops under exposed and two stops over exposed. There are several products and techniques to merge the exposures. For this image, I merged with Skylum's Aurora (I got a free download of last year's version).
The color and detail on the outside came out better, but this was a little better in the original series; I not sure how much Aurora did a better job. Perhaps the photographer should bracket a little better (LOL).
Welcome to all. I began blogging Retained-Images in 2004 at My-Expressions.com. It is gone now.
