Upstairs window

This is the left upstairs window and part of the roof from yesterday's farmhouse. The window, with its tattered curtain, caught by eye when I was out shooting, and I took this shot intending to crop down to just the window. When I opened the image and saw all the gorgeous rust, I didn't have the heart to crop any of it.

It's a good thing you didn't crop. It is such a beautiful composition, especially the curtain is doing well.

i suppose if anyone wants to try to salvage this old place, they'll have to figure window coverings in the remodel : - )

seriously though, it's a fine abandoned structure capture

@sherri: let's hope any rehabber is handy with a sewing machine as well as with hammers and nails.

I think your decision to include the whole image with the rust was correct. A fine picture.

A great weathered appearance with wood grain patterns that "pop" in the sunlight!
