This was on an old building that had been a restaurant, then converted into an antique/junk shop. The store was closed, so I was unable to ask whether the sign was original or part of the conversion. From the rust stains beneath the sign, it was evident it had been there quite a while.

Perhaps it would be a reason to save it as a historically valuable object. Finnish television shows a program of two American friends traveling around the country with a van and buying old stuff. Maybe they would be interested in this.
