This is a closer view of the keyboard on the piano featured yesterday. Quite a few of the keys had perfectly round hole drilled for some reason (you can see 4 or 5 in this photo). I am unfamiliar with the Milton brand, but a quick internet search provides: "The Milton Piano Company was established in 1892 and manufactured the Milton Grand piano for more than half a century. The company came under the control of Kohler & Campbell just after the turn of the century."

since when has he heard the sound of his voice?
I like abandoned houses in which there are sometimes still objects. I wish they could talk to tell me about their past, their story

Aw!! If this piano was vocal...if would dole out melodies.
Since I am interested in music ( our grandson plays Piano) I just went to the Google Wonderland and tried to read about those holes...balance holes, they are called !! Well, certainly beyond me!

A fine close up of these keys. It's hard to imagine why the holes were drilled.

Ce clavier a besoin d'un bon coup de chiffon à poussière même si ainsi il a beaucoup de charme !

Magnificent close up of these old piano keys. The detail is superb. Sort of has a haunting feeling.

I like it very much with these dusty yellow shades.

A great close-up of the keys! I love the slight diagonal here rather than a straight shot I most likely would have mistakenly done. Interesting sighting of the holes drilled in the keys.

This is an evocative shot, as if the scene is about to change to yesteryear, and the music starts playing, like in the movies
