St. Matthews is a small one room church in Todd, NC, in the Blue Ridge area of North Carolina. It has gone through several cycles of disrepair and renewal. It is currently in pretty good shape, though when we were there, the grounds needed a good trimming. I know they still hold services there, but not on a weekly basis.

Welcome to all. I began blogging Retained-Images in 2004 at My-Expressions.com. It is gone now.
@Marie: thank you, I am glad you don't see the flaws that I see!
@Steven: thanks - I never look at the community page until I have processed my unread comments, so I am always surprised when I am cited in the spotlight.
@Gérard: thanks!
@Elaine Hancock: thanks!
@Ana Lúcia: thanks!
@Jean-Luc.M: thanks
@Ruthiebear: thanks!
@Calusarus: thanks!
@Darkelf Photography: Thanks. I do not shoot as much infrared as I used to, but some subjects need that push to rise from the ordinary. I did do the short workshop in June where all I did was infrared, and it was a worthwhile exercise, as it (perhaps) energized me to shoot more. We will see,
@Robert: Thanks!
