The sunrise over the gazebo that I posted yesterday was taken about 8:15 am, and as I said, we stopped on out way to breakfast. Before that, we had been closer to the water. This shot was taken at about 7:30, just a few miles away. It was still dark when we arrived, but the owner was loading provisions on the boat at the right already. Sadly, the sky was cloudless, but there was still some delightful color. I like the foreground water even better than the color at the horizon. I positioned myself so that the shed at the end of the pier was completely blocking a very ugly water tower on the other side of the sound. I cropped a bit of featureless blue off the top, and I did spot heal a few bright lights in windows across the sound, but did not modify or remove any shapes.
