Rusty lock

I posted an ABUS lock a few days ago, but it was on a red door and had a more modern squarish form. ABUS is not a brand available in the U.S. but their web site boasts (in all-caps English) "MAKING LIFE MORE SECURE SINCE 1924." This lock is rusty enough to be from a much earlier area.

Ah, it may be noted that there has already been a padlock ripped from the bottom plate .... but perhaps not an ABUSE!!!!

I am captivated by the textures and the graphic design created by the slats.

These rusty locks sure make for good photo subjects. The texture of the wood is nice.

The padlock is really gnawed by rust... it will soon be out of use.
In the meantime, here's a nice picture.
