This boarded up, postered and graffiti covered doorway way in the middle of a thriving commercial and tourist rich string of businesses. Who knows what secrets might lay behind it! This is in Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia.

Welcome to all. I began blogging Retained-Images in 2004 at My-Expressions.com. It is gone now.

I hate graffiti in unauthorized places.

@Jypyä Pop: ah, but if it is "authorized" it is not graffiti, it is art.

Calusarus from Valence, France

The door, the wall were nice, but because of the graffiti, they became invisible…

This entrance is not lacking in charm and deserves to be restored to its former glory, without graffiti of course.

the grafitti covers what used to be beautiful architectural details

I am trying to picture the beauty that this doorway once showcased! How unfortunate that it has been subjected to this. Now you have me curious, too about what lies beyond. :-)

The tags are rarely beautiful, and here they've ruined this very old door!

Superb find where the world of today blends with the old !

That graffiti is either a work of art or an eye-sore. It looks like the old wooden doors without the graffiti would have been more appealing.

This superb door deserves another treatment and not this horrible graffiti.

My comment on your previous photo leaves you perplexed.
In your photo of the day, next to the door, it is the gutter that is covered with stickers and signs.
These supports (posts, gutters) are often used to affix ephemeral advertising messages.
They are the extension of the tags and graphs affixed to this large door.
It is a form of Art. In any case, it is colorful.

@Roger Dekert: Aha - I was focusing on the word post and skipped over gutter - partly because in my mind I view it as a drain pipe - I think the usage might be slightly different word usage between our languages

Remus from Portugal

A captivating image of an old door "adorned" with graffiti, a rebellious element, creating a striking visual contrast.
